Marathon

Marathon is the latest game from Bungie Inc. It is very reminiscent of previous Bungie like Destiny, but has an identity of its own through it being an extraction shooter. While its not for everyone, fans of other bungie games will have a blast playing Marathon, and they will hopefully receive content for many years to come.

Slay The Spire 2 (Early Access)

The long awaited sequel is finally here in early access, and it fully delivers. The Rougelike has returned and keeps what was loved about the original, but it also expands with gameplay that requires even more thinking now than ever before. If you enjoyed the original there’s no reason not to pick up the sequel as its just as good and arguably even better than the previous game.

Pragmata

Pragmata is Capcom’s newest game that is a brand new IP. It follows a space engineer named Hugh and a young android named Diana as they are stranded on a hostile space station. Its a wholesome tale that gives heavy “father and daughter” vibes which makes for a very entertaining story. However, the gameplay is also very fun utilizing Capcoms classic formula of puzzles and combat gameplay.

Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream

12 years ago, Nintendo released Tomodachi Life for the Nintendo 3DS. Now, we have a sequel that’s just as much fun as before. In Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream you can slap as many of your Mii creations as you want onto an island and watch them live their lives. Its extremely funny and entertaining watching your friends and family interact with each other as well as fictional characters. Their Miis will get into all sorts of silly situations that provides gameplay for hours on end.

Resident Evil Requiem

Resident Evil Requiem takes both aspects that the resident evil franchise is known for and fuses them together perfectly. It takes the survival horror from staples of the series like Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 7 and combines that with the action horror of games like Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. The fear from the survival horror combined with the satisfaction of the action horror portions creates the most enjoyable gaming experience this year so far.
